HOME NETWORK SECURITY TESTING

A client in the Consumer Services industry was forced to make extensive use of remote working from home as a result of the COVID-19 lockdown. Their concern was that the home networks and computers used by employees were not secure, and if breached could result in various risks such as disclosure of sensitive data.

The Mobius Security Testing team assisted by developing a custom built website designed to analyse both browser and home security posture. By connecting to the site, each employee was assessed through a variety of home network security tests such as checking for unpatched browser plugins and versions, as well as for insecure configurations on home network devices.

Mobius was able to provide the client with a detailed report of all users and how secure their home network setup was, and the client was able to assist the users to improve the security of their home network.
